Overview
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to insure that goals or objectives are accomplished in accordance with prescribed priorities, time limitation, and funding conditions. Infrastructure Project Managers insure effective and efficient management of the project consistent with an established project management cycle and compliance with department guidelines, procedures, and systems; and related work as required. Original Entrance Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Geology, Chemistry, Biology or related field; or a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field. Eight (8) years of professional construction or technical project management related experience. Alternative Entrance (PMP)
Possession of a current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) issued by the Project Management Institute and four (4) additional years of project management experience earned after the receipt of a PMP Certification. Promotional Eligibility
Permanent status as an Infrastructure Project Manager III and two years of experience in that job classification. Notes
