Overview
Title: IT Audit Director
Contract: 6 months contract to hire
Location: 100% remote (USA)
Travel: Up to 15% travel required
Responsibilities
Lead the IT Audit function and be a member of Internal Audits Leadership Team.
Contribute to strategic planning, process innovation, project management, and hands-on audits.
Deliver assurance and advisory services in accordance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
Report to the Chief Audit Executive and, as the first IT Audit team member, help grow and lead the team.
Act as liaison between the client and KPMG, ensuring alignment and keeping engagements "in check".
Manage relationships with Senior Management and provide control advisory services on company projects.
Develop risk-based multi-year audit plans, perform risk assessments, and oversee audit execution.
Oversee IT audits in cloud environments and ensure alignment with frameworks (SOC, NIST, COBIT, etc.).
Collaborate with other risk and control functions to coordinate activities and leverage synergies.
Ensure timely delivery of audit deliverables, adherence to methodology, and regulatory engagement where applicable.
Qualifications & Skills
Strong financial services industry experience is a must (Big Banking preferred).
Experience in IT audit and internal audit; relevant certifications such as CISA.
Knowledge of IT control frameworks and security: NIST, COBIT; experience with cloud environments; familiarity with SOC audits.
Ability to perform and lead IT audits with a hands-on approach across all levels of the organization.
Leadership mindset with the ability to build and scale a team; comfortable working in a hands-on, in-the-weeds environment.

Pay & Benefits
Pay range: $85.00 - $110.00/hr.
