in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL. This role supports the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital component of the Missile Defense System, providing a critical operational platform for planning, monitoring, and managing missile defense operations. Position Overview:

Develops and publishes corporate automation plans, performs complex software design activities, and maintains up-to-date knowledge of technologies, planning, design, and analysis methodologies. Essential Functions: Designs C2BMC AT and DEF SW solutions that meet customer requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently, and possess the poise and flexibility needed to thrive in a highly dynamic environment Self-starter who can initiate research and clearly document results Thorough understanding of system software deployment architectures and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles Leadership skills in software projects Ability to understand and decompose requirements to support verification and validation testing of software components Ability to generate detailed, repeatable, automated test procedures Ability to extract data to support analysis requirements Ability to create procedures that test functionality Ability to apply Agile and Lean Product Development principles and train others through a DevOps-style environment Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle Candidates must have experience working in a collaborative team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions Understanding and knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Demonstrated ability to lead a team of high-performing individuals across a multi-site, multi-discipline organization Ability to analyze high-level needs and refine them into an evolving architecture that results in a fielded product Capable of communicating effectively and clearly presenting technical approaches and findings Able to write and implement engineering plans within a project Proven experience interacting in a team environment Salary range in Colorado Springs: $100,300 - $150,500 Salary range in Huntsville: $105,400 - $158,000 Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field) from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a STEM-related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related field with 1 year of relevant work experience Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application Current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs Understanding and possession of demonstrable skills, including the ability to document architectures into system modeling tools Experience with VMware, Linux, Windows operating systems, Git, Ansible, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Excel & Visio, and other open-source development tools Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Systems Engineering Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF) VMware certifications Previous experience designing automation pipelines to support efficient development in environments with rapidly changing requirements What We Can Offer You:
