Modernizing Medicine is hiring a Senior Manager, Data Governance (Individual Contributor) to mature the integrity, taxonomy, governance, and underlying processes that shape our most critical revenue-generating data assets needed for understanding our go-to-market strategy. We seek an experienced data leader who can collaborate effectively with our business stakeholders within sales and marketing, business technology platform owners, and the data architecture leaders in our digital business team. The key responsibilities include driving data ownership, accountability, and continuous data process improvement, as measured by the integrity, richness, and usability of our sales & marketing data domains.
The Role:
Actively drive and support the definition and enablement of the ModMed Go-to-Market Data Catalog and Data Classification
Participate in the definition and design of ModMed Go-to-Market domain services and taxonomies, working directly with our digital business teams and bringing a holistic and strategic perspective
Establish organizational data ownership and help formalize data stewardship processes (both automated and manual) that are aligned to strategic priorities and key initiatives
Partner with Privacy and Security teams to understand and determine how best to adhere to data policies while also optimizing business value and productivity of our employees
Provide thought leadership and optimization of 3rd party data management processes, data sharing, and key decisions affecting ModMed
Prioritize key data issues by data domain and work with product owners and business owners to align priorities and incorporate strategies into business roadmaps
Take a proactive role to identify and address critical data activities on key initiatives related to the integrity and management of enterprise data
Work directly with the digital business team to align key data management needs with releases and sprint schedules
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; with a strong quantitative foundation
Demonstrable record of professional and academic achievements
10+ years of data-related professional experiences (data lakes and data warehousing, master data management, cloud data architectures, data research, data analysis, etc.)
5+ years of work experience focused in data governance and data management leadership
Previous experience developing and managing complex data strategies for organizations that have experienced mergers and acquisitions
Strong expertise in modern domain design principles, analytical dimensional modeling best practices, and data modeling approaches for modern organizations
Multiple program-level experiences helping organizations put in place effective data governance, data management, and data stewardship/data integrity processes that drive results
Strong, effective communication skills and presence at all levels of the organization
Strong influencing and negotiating skills and ability to work across organizational boundaries
Understanding of modern data architectures and approaches
Strong ability to perform data discovery and data profiling activities directly
Strong business acumen and leadership presence
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
Understanding of go-to-market (sales & marketing organization) data standards
Strong conviction and understanding of best practice data management approach balanced with the ability to implement realistic solutions that drive value quickly
Experience working with multiple product lines, tech platforms, and/or business units
Experience managing projects and programs using an agile methodology
High solution and technology acumen
Experience using Salesforce
