Job Overview

Perform a variety of design and technical tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge gained through experience in the field. Complete work in a self-directed manner, demonstrating advanced skills in both Design and Technical aspects of project development. Work must be coordinated with established budget, schedule and programmatic requirements provided by the Project Manager or other project team member. Demonstrated evolution in design and technical skills, project responsibilities and overall leadership throughout the design process, including programming, preparation of design and the creation of Schematic Design, Design Development and Contract Documents, Revit or Sketch-Up model building, renderings and Construction Administration activities. Additional duties may be assigned. Responsibilities

Prepare preliminary design studies, concepts and sketches for review with project team Prepare Documentation for Schematic Design and Design Development Generate client presentation materials, including design sketches, renderings, models and graphics Support key firm principles including communication, teambuilding, design excellence, quality control, and sustainability Support specific project goals outlined by project team members and the PM Qualifications

Experience and Education

2-5 years related experience in Architectural projects Professional Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited school Skills

Strong understanding of architectural and/or interior design principles and theory related to project design and construction materials/methods Emerging strength in verbal and written communication Ability to work collaboratively with professional work ethic Progress with LEED Certification Participation in professional growth programs (e.g., IDP, ARE) or other relevant certifications Technical Proficiency

Proficiency in Revit Experience with area calculations and technical project support functions Essential Job Functions

Design: prepare preliminary design studies, concepts and sketches; prepare documentation for SD and DD; develop client presentations; support firm principles Technical: prepare contract documents, amendments, and technical revisions; coordinate with all trades; ensure constructability and QA/QC Management: organize, plan and execute tasks; coordinate and manage work of others; demonstrate emerging leadership Continuing Professional Development: LEED, IDP/ARE/NCIDQ or other relevant certification progress Additional Qualifications

Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and driving record as required by the company’s liability insurer Notice:
