JOB SUMMARY:

Business Operational Concepts (BOC)

is currently seeking a seeking an

Exchange Engineer

to support Managed Services for our clients. The Exchange Engineer will be responsible for administering, migrating, and maintaining enterprise-scale messaging environments, including Microsoft Exchange on-premises and Microsoft 365 hybrid deployments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting large user bases, implementing secure and compliant messaging solutions, and automating processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer and support Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 and Exchange Online environments. Configure and maintain hybrid Microsoft 365 deployments including migrations to Exchange Online and Teams. Develop and maintain automation and reporting using PowerShell scripting. Manage and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Azure AD synchronization. Provide support for compliance, audit, and legal requests (eDiscovery, mailbox restores, retention policies). Implement and monitor security controls aligned with NIST 800-53, FISMA, ISO, and ITIL standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Exchange and Microsoft 365 operations. Participate in audits, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required (Minimum) Qualifications - Education, Certification, Experience, and Skills

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent certifications or military work-related experience 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange administration and migrations. Proven experience with Microsoft 365 hybrid environments and Exchange Online. Strong expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services. Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and monitoring. Experience supporting large enterprise messaging environments. Knowledge of federal IT security standards (FISMA, NIST, FEDRAMP, etc.). Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. Preferred Qualifications - Education, Certification, Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCSA, Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator, etc.). Azure certifications (AZ-900, MS-100, MS-101). ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Foundations certification. Experience with VMware, Cisco networking, and enterprise backup solutions. Familiarity with enterprise firewalls and load balancers (Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, F5).

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Public Trust or the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.)
