Outstanding long-term contract opportunity. A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for a GenAI Software/Capabilities Engineer in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). Work with the brightest minds at one of the largest financial institutions in the world. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a competitive benefits package. 10+ years of software engineering experience 5+ years of software development experience using C# (.NET Core) and Python, with a strong focus on backend systems and service-oriented architecture 4+ years of experience with Enterprise Pipeline Tools (uDeploy/Urbancode Deploy, GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins) 2+ years of experience integrating large language models (LLMs) into web applications, proficient in contextual grounding for LLMs using techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) Proficient in prompt engineering to optimize LLM outputs for diverse use cases, including task-specific prompting, chain-of-thought reasoning, and few-shot examples Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives) and Kanban Advanced troubleshooting skills Test-driven development experience a plus What You Will Be Doing
Lead an Agile development team in creating and implementing technology frameworks, feature enhancements, applications redesigns, componentized applications, micro-services, information security, database, and cloud or web technologies Technical Leadership & Mentorship: guide a team of software engineers, perform code reviews, and mentor to ensure high-quality code and professional growth Architect and build scalable, robust, and performant applications Develop complex and interactive user interfaces using the React UI framework to support self-service portal applications Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable APIs to support front-end applications and integrations Leverage experience with Large Language Models to integrate AI capabilities into applications, including working with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and understanding AI-enabled features Self-Service Portal Development: lead end-to-end development of self-service portal-type applications Agile Development & User-Centered Design: actively participate in and lead an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban) The ideal candidate will have proven full-stack experience with modern development frameworks and tools, demonstrated leadership in technical execution and collaboration, strong agile methodology, and a track record of delivering high-impact AI-powered solutions.
