Sr. System and Network Engineers
Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to design, configure, and troubleshoot IT environments. Manage basic server configuration methods including standalone and virtualized environments. Support WAN and LAN networks, backups, email systems, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Configure and troubleshoot desktop environments; provide client-facing and internal technical support. Analyze simple and complex network environments to troubleshoot issues such as firewall problems, Windows Active Directory complexities, domain namespace blacklisting, printer issues, email delivery problems, backup issues, and VM-related errors. Assess existing and future client needs and review technical alternatives to determine impact while maintaining security and compliance where applicable. Demonstrate excellent customer service and technical excellence in all communications. Focus areas include Windows technologies, Acronis Backup & Recovery, VMware virtualization, WatchGuard firewall hardware, VPN connectivity, Dell systems, and Netgear storage systems; other technologies may be supported.
Qualifications
5+ years hands-on experience. CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications. MSDSt (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician). Microsoft certification such as MCSA or MCSE (or equivalent). Excellent experience with server administration and with Active Directory and Exchange Server. Experience in cloud computing is desired. Experience troubleshooting laptops, desktops, and printers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service skills. Experience with VMware infrastructure and knowledge of remote monitoring and change management.
