What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Perform research, financial modeling, and analysis of complex healthcare claims data to deliver actionable insights
Develop key strategic reports and analyses using SQL, Business Intelligence tools, and Python
Track and report on cost savings initiatives and present executive-ready summaries
Conduct financial modeling to support negotiating strategies and contract rate proposals
Evaluate and present VBC performance reports with recommendations based on findings
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Actuarial Sciences, or equivalent experience
5+ years of analytics experience in financial analysis, healthcare economics, statistics, or related discipline
Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in SQL
5+ years of experience in quantifying, measuring, and analyzing financial/performance management metrics using modern BI tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Master\'s degree
Experience in healthcare medical economics and/or strong financial analytics background
Proactively identify and investigate complex medical cost issues
Experience navigating and analyzing large, complex operational datasets
Familiarity with industry standard normalization/reimbursement methodologies
