Overview
Water Resources Project Manager – Multi-State Utility Projects. Location options: Cherry Hill, NJ / Allentown, PA / Secaucus, NJ. Employment Type: Full Time. Experience Level: Professional. Salary Range: $92,000.00 to $151,800.00 Annually. This role requires a PE license or eligibility for reciprocity for PA/NJ-based roles. Primary responsibilities include planning, designing, and performing analysis on water and wastewater engineering projects, including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities, with the ability to act as a representative to clients and support branch offices in the NJ/PA/DE/MD area. Position Summary
The Water/Wastewater Project Engineer/Manager is a professional role requiring a minimum of 8 years of experience. Primary Responsibilities
Perform hydraulic calculations and structure layouts. Prepare correspondence, reports, and biddable documents for arsenic, radium, and iron removal water treatment plants; wells and water storage tanks; pumping stations and piping systems. Provide engineering support to the inspection department. Serve as the representative to municipalities, utility authorities, and private utilities. Draft concise proposals for new projects. Manage multiple simultaneous assignments efficiently and within budget. Identify and resolve problems through detailed analysis. Oversee all deliverables associated with this role. Assist with obtaining regulatory permits. Participate in energy audits. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of water/wastewater systems and equipment. Ability to read and understand complex construction drawings, schematics, specifications, and codes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and pride in work quality. Willingness to ask for assistance when needed to meet deadlines. Capable of managing both team-based and individual tasks. Ability to mentor junior staff. Experienced in managing meetings with staff, clients, and contractors. Familiar with NJDEP regulations and compliance requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; AutoCAD experience is a plus. Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution. Licenses and Certifications
Required:
Professional Engineer (PE) license in PA or eligibility for reciprocity (for PA-based roles); Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ or eligibility for reciprocity (for NJ-based roles).
