Backend Engineer III, Falcon NG-SIEM, Global Serverless Platform (Remote, East Coast)
role at
CrowdStrike . The NG-SIEM Global Serverless Platform team builds and operates the global- and region-level automation that manages the industry’s largest event data store and search system. The goal is to scale to hundreds of PB of data ingress per day while maintaining best-in-class ingest, search, and detection SLAs and a strong cost structure. The team owns the regional control plane layer, as well as account provisioning systems and region-level integrations with the Falcon platform. You will join a distributed team of engineers who tackle hard problems without well-defined solutions. You will become a go-to expert of the NG SIEM control plane with broad visibility across the NG SIEM data plane fleet. The team aims to build a zero-touch, self-service model of the data plane. What You’ll Do
Work in a team of friendly, trustworthy, and knowledgeable colleagues Engage in cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects Scope, design, and develop new features; lead delivery of solutions to open-ended problems Contribute to advancing the scalability of the LogScale engine Develop the control plane in Go (Golang) and extend its capabilities to scale with platform growth while ensuring high availability Communicate technical decisions through design documents, talks, and improved internal documentation Provide technical guidance on decisions, research and propose new technologies Collaborate on delivery of new solutions; support teammates through code reviews, pairing, documentation, and design reviews Monitor and follow up on features released in production Troubleshoot critical production issues What You’ll Need
A passion for distributed systems and curiosity about how running systems perform Experience in software development with ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term product goals Experience contributing to broad technical leadership in products or services Fluency in both functional and object-oriented programming and ability to learn new languages quickly A can-do attitude and comfort collaborating in a team and taking on responsibilities Bonus Points
Experience programming in Golang Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with Kafka Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization Exposure to or experience with Log Management or cybersecurity products This role may require periodic background and fingerprint checks consistent with government customer requirements.
