Quaterback the sales and underwriting process by building exceptionally strong and lasting relationships with agents and brokers, ensuring that The Hartford is the carrier of choice. Effectively manage account stewardship by overseeing the sales process from strategic planning to operational execution. Develop cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across the underwriting team. Collaborate with underwriters and leaders in a collaborative, results-oriented environment; contribute creative insights and participate in decision-making. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 5+ years of Builders Risk underwriting experience preferred. Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external partners. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. An analytical mindset: able to think through business problems, make recommendations and propose solutions. High-energy self-starter with resilience and an entrepreneurial spirit. Strong time, organizational and desk-management skills; goal-oriented with a track record of delivering outcomes. Ability to adapt to a fluid and changing business environment and to challenge the status quo to win. Ability to travel approximately 25% - 35%. Location & Schedule
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. If located near an office, expectation is to work in-office three days a week (Tuesday–Thursday). If not near an office, remote work with occasional in-office needs as business requires. Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is $98,800 - $196,800 and may vary based on performance, proficiency and demonstrated competencies. The base pay is one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package, which may include bonuses and incentives.
