Build strong, lasting relationships with agents and brokers to position The Hartford as the carrier of choice. Manage the sales process from strategic planning to operational execution. Develop cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across the underwriting team. Collaborate with underwriters and leaders to apply creative insights and drive results. Represent underwriting decisions and participate in the broader decision-making process with key stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience 5+ years of Builders Risk Underwriting experience preferred Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external partners Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Analytical thinker who can assess business problems, make recommendations and propose solutions High-energy self-starter with resilience and an entrepreneurial spirit Solid time management, organizational, and desk management skills Goal-oriented and capable of delivering outcomes Ability to challenge the status quo and compete to win Superior technical knowledge with sound decision-making and analytical skills Ability to travel approximately 25% - 35% Job title and level will be determined after careful review of the selected candidate's qualifications. Location
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates near an office location will work in-office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Remote arrangements are available for those not near an office, with occasional office visits as business needs arise. Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is based on market analysis. Actual base pay may vary based on performance, proficiency, and demonstrated competencies. The base pay is one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package, which may include bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition. Base pay range: $98,800 - $196,800. The posted salary range may reflect different titles/levels depending on background and experience.
