Tax Manager
will play a pivotal role in overseeing client engagements, leading tax compliance and consulting projects, and serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and executives. The role requires both technical tax expertise and leadership skills, with opportunities to contribute to business development and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities: Manage all phases of the tax cycle including planning, compliance, consulting, billing, and budgeting. Develop strong client relationships and collaborate across service lines (Audit, Advisory, Valuation, Technology). Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns, provisions, and planning strategies. Lead audits and handle federal and state/local tax authority notices. Mentor and supervise tax staff, providing guidance on projects and professional growth. Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of industry practice groups. Implement tax strategies to optimize obligations and ensure compliance with evolving tax laws. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA (or equivalent) preferred. 6–8 years of recent tax experience in public accounting. Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Experience reviewing tax provisions, handling audits, and advising clients. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple client projects and mentor staff. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and client service orientation.
