Overview
As the
Accounting Manager , you will oversee our accounting operations, lead month-end close and financial reporting processes, and ensure accuracy in compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, support external audits, and supervise a small accounting team while collaborating across departments. This role will report to the Senior Director of Finance. Company:

Financial Accounting:
Lead month-end close processes, including review of reconciliations and journal entries (cash, prepaid expenses, payroll, accruals, etc.). Analyze financial and cost data across balance sheet and income statement accounts. Prepare audit-ready supporting schedules for quarterly and year-end external audits. Cost Analysis and Cash:
Oversee cash audits and applications, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation. Manage customer liability accounts. Responsible for cost validation and analysis on inventory purchases including process improvements. Team Leadership:
Manage and develop a team of accountants with an emphasis on professional development. Guide the finance team on technical accounting issues and compliance with policies. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Lead cross-functional projects focused on automation, efficiency, and scalability. Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or MBA preferred Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) Strong technical accounting knowledge, with proficiency in GAAP and audit preparation 5+ years of progressive experience in a fast-paced accounting department Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization Why Ross-Simons?
