The Specialty Manufacturing business unit at Pratt & Whitney's Hot Section Module Center in East Hartford, CT has an open position in leadership for Materials Management. This position will have general oversight of these operations and responsibilities include execution of material movement and systems, coaching and training of personnel, and procurement ownership to consumables and services. This individual will lead and manage value stream transformation initiatives regarding strategic materials management architecture and implementation of lean release strategies, handling methods, kitting strategies and transportation methods. The ideal candidate will work directly with Hot Section Module Center (HSMC) administration, materials, operations and internal manufacturing groups to redefine processes, meet business requirements, and deliver to customer expectations. The selected candidate will provide leadership and direction with emphasis on change management, effective communication, understanding of the manufacturing environment, and business insight. The role requires forward thinking to ensure HSMC transforms to meet customer demands in a challenging manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: Provide direction to Manufacturing Cell Leaders and QA Leaders on prioritization of HSMC materials. Provide leadership and guidance to manage all accruals, WIP, QN and PPX aging. Establish system architecture designs that consider customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities. Support CORE activities focused on Standard Production System, lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvements that increase quality, throughput, and delivery integrity. Support and participate in the execution of the lean logistic transformation plan. Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled team engaged in the distribution of material to and from manufacturing cells and module assembly. Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained in all warehouses. Qualifications You Must Have: BS/BA and a minimum of 8 years' experience in production, operations or manufacturing that includes time in a leadership/supervisory role A U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts Qualifications We Prefer: Advanced knowledge of materials management strategies, lean manufacturing system design, shop floor management execution, and continuous improvement principles Prior experience in a manufacturing operations environment, supporting both hourly and salaried populations Learn More & Apply Now: In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including the role, responsibilities, experience, location, education, and key skills. Benefits:
