About the Role
Senior / Staff Accountant Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent Responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations in compliance with GAAP. Handle month-end and year-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies proactively. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Maintain and track fixed asset schedules. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Partner with auditors during annual audits and provide required documentation. Support special projects and process improvements within the accounting team. What We're Looking For
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 35 years of hands-on accounting experience (public or corporate). Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Solid understanding of GAAP principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). CPA preferred, but not required.
