Our client, a well-established and growing company, is seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join their finance team and take ownership of key accounting functions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial data and reporting, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with exposure to all aspects of the accounting cycle. Base pay

Own the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and reconciliations Prepare and analyze internal financial statements and management reports on a monthly basis Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate classification of transactions Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities; analyze variances and provide insights to leadership Support external audit and tax processes, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation Maintain compliance with internal controls and GAAP standards Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, AR, and operational teams to streamline accounting processes Identify and implement improvements in processes and systems to increase accuracy and efficiency Serve as a resource and mentor to junior accountants and accounting assistants Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA track preferred) 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a corporate, multi-entity, or mid-size business environment Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls Proficiency with NetSuite Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.) Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of processes EOC Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
