Overview LHH is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager on behalf of a mission-driven nonprofit organization.

Job Responsibilities
Lead preparation for audits, including Single Audit and compliance with federal grant requirements
Support the Controller and CFO in financial reporting and month-end close processes
Collaborate with senior leadership (including C-suite and department directors) on financial matters
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning (FP&A experience a plus)
Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and grant reporting
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
Support the integration of new grants and program funding
Utilize accounting systems such as Blackbaud Financial Edge, Concur, SAP, and Yardi
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Accounting or Finance
Active CPA license or in progress toward CPA certification
Minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience, with nonprofit or public accounting background preferred
Direct experience with federal grant compliance and Single Audit requirements
Strong leadership skills with experience managing staff
Clear and professional communication skills with ability to interact at all levels
Proficiency in nonprofit accounting software (experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge strongly preferred)
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and ethical standards
Comfortable working in a faith-informed environment (the organization is inclusive and open to all backgrounds, but candidates should be respectful of religious elements in the workplace)
