Private Equity Firm: $5B in AUM Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Reporting Manage quarter-end close process for the investment partnerships. Oversee quarterly valuations of portfolio companies. Manage fund and firm-level cash flows to inform and calculate capital calls and distributions. Calculate and review quarterly management fees and carried interest waterfall allocation. Support the annual financial statement audit process. Manage and provide guidance to outsourced tax and accounting providers. Oversee recurring and customized client deliverables. Prepare and/or review portfolio company financial summaries. Collaborate with third-party service providers (e.g., tax, legal, client services). Compliance Assist with administration of the firm’s compliance program. Complete required regulatory filings with the SEC. Process Improvement and Innovation Implement and oversee process improvements and accounting system enhancements. Lead special projects to address evolving needs. Participate in technology innovation efforts and support the implementation of tools. Collaboration and Leadership Provide support to the investment team on ad hoc financial analyses and accounting-related questions. Lead and mentor team members, reinforcing a culture of collaboration and continuous growth, while fostering high ethical and professional standards throughout the organization. Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance. CPA Required. 10+ years of progressive experience in private equity fund accounting, partnership accounting, or an equivalent role in the alternative asset management industry. Strong understanding of private equity fund governing documents, NAV calculations, and capital call/distribution processes. Proficiency in accounting systems.
