Small Private Investment Firm ($500M in AUM) Key Responsibilities:

Assist in month-and quarter-end closes, NAV calculations, and general ledger activity for private equity funds Perform day-to-day accounting for private equity funds and related investment vehicles. Pay expenses, deploy capital, record journal entries, and reconcile cash, investments, and debt balances Track investment-level cash flows and funding commitments, and manage quarterly valuations of litigation finance investments Capital Activity & Fund Operations

Calculate and review capital calls, distributions, management fees, and waterfall calculations in accordance with fund documents and side letters Oversee and maintain the fund’s capital accounts, investor allocations, and capital rollforward schedules, while tracking investor commitments, contributions, and allocation details Audit & Tax Coordination

Prepare audit workpapers and respond to auditor requests during annual audits and reviews. Lead annual audit process for one or more entities Assist with the preparation of fund financial statements and disclosures under U.S. GAAP Coordinate with third-party tax advisors to facilitate investor tax reporting and K-1 issuance Operational Support

Identify and implement process improvements, workflows, and accounting best practices Support new fund launches, including setting up charts of accounts, onboarding, and setup of new investments and vehicles, including SPV structuring and funding logistics Respond to investor queries and support fundraising, due diligence, and performance reporting Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or CPA highly preferred. 3-6 years of experience in FS (tax or audit), fund accounting, or fund administration Exposure to or interest in structured credit or alternative asset classes Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Connect Search, LLC by 2x The company offers medical insurance, vision insurance, and 401(k) among other benefits.
