Position Summary

The BSA Analyst is responsible for Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence primarily on higher risk customers and accounts, as well as assessing the risk of new customers to the bank. This position is responsible for reviewing new business customers for compliance with CIP and beneficial ownership requirements. May assist in the preparation of various risk assessments. Assist in the development of operating procedures for BSA/AML, CDD/EDD reviews, and other activities related to the bank's BSA Compliance Management Program. Essential Functions

Responsible for identifying high-risk customers and maintaining the high-risk customer listing. Using the case management component of the BSA/AML software, perform account reviews and monitor high risk customers and accounts under Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), including coordinating site visits and requesting documentation as needed. Escalate detected suspicious activity to the AML Analyst or BSA Manager. Reviews new organization reports daily for proper identification and verification of information in accordance with the bank’s CIP program. Reviews new account reports and the Business Information Form daily for compliance with the beneficial ownership requirement. Serves as backup to review the daily large cash report and the accuracy of the currency transaction reports. Serves as backup to submit electronic FinCEN report daily CTRs in a timely manner through the bank’s BSA/AML software. Serves as backup for daily review of BSA monitoring reports, including recordkeeping for cash purchases of monetary instruments. Serves as backup to review new person for proper identification and verification of information in accordance with the bank’s CIP program. Serves as backup to review OFAC alerts generated by automated software. May recommend software tuning and configuration, especially within customer risk rating. Assists the BSA Manager and VP, Director of Compliance in preparation for audits and regulatory exams, and collection of data for the annual OCC Money Laundering Risk (MLR) Report. Makes recommendations for changes to department procedures. Must complete BSA, AML, and other Regulatory and Continuing Education as assigned. Must adhere to all bank and regulatory policies and procedures specific to position. Perform additional duties as needed. Qualifications

Competencies Communication Decision Making/Judgment Initiative Job Knowledge Quality Education/Experience/Skills & Abilities Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related area, or the equivalent work experience. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant BSA analysis, CTR completion, Compliance, and/or Banking experience. Ability to work independently. Excellent problem solving and research skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to negotiate DNA, FISERV and AML Detection software. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Physical Demands
