War Memorial Auditorium - Fort Lauderdale, FL. Job Summary: The Post Event Shift Cleaner is part-time employment in an event-based job. This position ensures a safe and premium guest experience and reports to the Post Supervisor. Hours are approximately 24 hours per week (hours per week vary due to event schedule), mostly nights, weekends, and possibly holidays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests. Comply with Housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain clear communication with supervisor and co-workers to ensure operational success. Report any safety issues to the Post Supervisor for assessment. General cleaning of assigned areas (rooms, restrooms, concourses, bowl seating). Waste removal (clearing waste and recycling receptacles). Picking, sweeping, mopping, and quality control check of bowl seating. Qualifications: Prior custodial experience preferred. Company core competencies: work ethic, thriving in adversity, and empathy. Must understand and comply with company policies. Respond positively to management direction. Maintain neat and presentable attire during work hours. Committed to excellent work habits. Ability to listen effectively, take, and follow instructions. Able to work in large crowds. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Sound organizational and time management skills. Job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail. This is a part-time, hourly position based on events and hockey season. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Expected Hours of Work: This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Position Type(s): Waste removal crew Floor attendants Compactor crew/Waste management sorters Bowl cleaning crew Work Environment: This position works in an arena where the noise level is generally high, crowd traffic is heavy, temperatures are variable – often cold; lights are bright or dark with occasional exposure to pyrotechnics.
