War Memorial Auditorium, Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Summary
Responsible for performing work as needed to set up, maintain, convert, and prepare for events at the War Memorial Auditorium. Essential Functions
Convert arena from professional hockey venue to large-scale concert/event venue and back. Set up seating arrangements and supporting furniture for concerts, hockey games, dinners, parties, and banquets. Set up signage, banners, and other conversion-related items for event transitions. Install, repair, and remove arena parts and seating. Respond to requests from management, vendors, guests, event and team representatives to move furniture, boxes, and equipment. Relocate materials and equipment on event day and during events as needed. Set up and breakdown barricades, tables, chairs, risers, and stages around the arena. Distribute Panthers giveaways at arena entrances. Build and disassemble risers and stages for concerts and other events. Store, retrieve, and rearrange items in storage areas for all departments. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Ability to understand instructions from supervisor(s) and arena management Ability to climb, crawl, kneel, squat, bend, and extend limbs as needed Ability to operate forklift and warehouse equipment (preferred, not required) This position works in an arena with varying noise levels, crowd traffic, temperatures, lighting, and potential pyrotechnic exposure. Physical Demands
Balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift up to 65 pounds, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions of wrists and fingers. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
