In the capacity of the US Broker Dealer Treasurer, oversee funding, capital and liquidity activities in the US Broker Dealer and support strategic initiatives by developing effective Treasury practices tailored to the Broker Dealer. Oversee analytics and reporting of Broker-Dealer funding, liquidity, and capital, including intraday liquidity, forecasting and explanation of business activity within the US Broker-Dealer. Collaborate with Finance leadership in support of strategic initiatives that improve the effectiveness of the Treasury function, while expanding Treasury’s value-add to the growth of the US Broker Dealer. Identify and institute best practices in financial risk management, cash and investment management, funding, treasury planning and analysis. Participate in balance sheet and collateral optimization efforts related to the US Broker Dealer. Determine impacts to key liquidity and capital stress metrics, balance sheet usage, intraday liquidity usage and funding requirements. Oversee ongoing development and implementation of process improvements and strategic technology initiatives working with partners in Operations, Finance, Treasury and other areas throughout the organization. Provide regular updates of Broker Dealer liquidity, capital and funding to senior management. Engage with regulators on all inquiries related to Treasury activities within the US Broker Dealer. Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external policies and stay abreast of changes to government or agency policies/regulations affecting treasury activities. Who You Are

Experience in Treasury funding mechanisms, transfer pricing methodologies, statistical modelling and analytics and reporting. Knowledge of the inter-relationship of various components of the balance sheet and how funding mechanisms optimize/support business growth. Strong understanding of portfolio theory, capital markets, economics and asset and liability management. Knowledge of strategic issues facing U.S. Region’s businesses and ability to assess the impact of Treasury activities on these businesses. Strong knowledge of financial institutions and the US financial services industry, the market and regulatory environment. Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively deal with complex issues and communicate these to business leaders. Exceptional communication skills in oral and written presentations to communicate information and credible conclusions to senior leaders. Strong influential and relationship skills to build trust, credibility and confidence in the value of the advice and information provided. Demonstrated leadership and team building to ensure colleagues collectively achieve goals for the businesses supported and finance as a whole. Solid knowledge and proven ability to implement practices and processes related to effective management of the Treasury function. At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $200K - $225K for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
