Future focused and always one step ahead! As a member of our E&S Casualty team, you\'ll be responsible for the production, underwriting and retention of profitable E&S primary casualty business through cultivation and maintenance of broker relationships. Responsibilities
Underwrite, market, quote, bind and retain a profitable book of excess and surplus lines business that meets profitability and growth targets. Operate within granted authority and guidelines and refer to underwriting leadership as appropriate. Develop and execute production strategies and business plans to maximize growth objectives and rate goals. Coordinate with other Munich Re business units to offer holistic solutions. Measure and optimize portfolio progress by reviewing underwriting data and monitoring industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement. Cultivate and maintain professional wholesale broker relationships. Represent the Munich Re brand at client events, seminars, meetings, etc. Assist in day-to-day operations and projects as assigned with potential client, business group, divisional and corporate impact. Qualifications
7+ years of experience in insurance and/or reinsurance focusing on E&S casualty lines Excellent underwriting, marketing and analytical skills Advanced insurance certifications (e.g., CPCU) preferred Advanced working knowledge of Commercial P&C / E&S products, UW processes and procedures, laws and regulations, terminology, and industry trends Proficiency in pricing models and risk evaluation tools Successful track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships with wholesale brokers Tech savviness and willingness to experiment with new technologies Strategic thinking with tactical execution ability Exceptional communication skills to engage brokers, clients and colleagues, and convey client-focused solutions Ability to present and negotiate complex broker agreements Effective time management and organizational skills Willingness to travel 20%-30% Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range anticipated for this position is
$135,600-$226,100 , plus opportunity for company bonus based on eligible pay. Benefits include health insurance, wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and PTO.
