DUTIES
Completes special assignments from the CFO or Accounting Supervisor, including account analysis, cost and overhead allocation, etc.
Research questions and problems raised by department managers and other leaders in the organization.
Ensures patient credit card payments are reflected appropriately. Address discrepancies between what\'s accounted for in Epic, bank accounts, and online credit card transaction portal.
Enter in and aggregate approvals and documentation for credit card transactions.
Assists in planning and executing special audit projects as assigned.
Performs monthly close process activities, including the preparation of required accounting entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Assists with financial analysis and other related projects.
Assists in project-related research as requested, including providing requested documents during annual audits.
Reconciles all cash accounts, including interbank transfers, and corporate credit card expenses.
Prepares invoices for other revenue (outside of the practice management system) and tracks/records properly in general ledger.
Coordinates annual fixed asset inventory in quarter four and reconciliation between fixed asset software and general ledger monthly.
Assists with Personal Property Tax filings annually.
Prepare and submit three MGMA surveys annually and one to two US Census Bureau surveys annually.
Tracks balances and monitors loans, capital leases, and operating leases.
Performs Unclaimed Property reporting and filing annually as well as researching, coordinating with Remissions, sending out due diligence letters, and tracking in preparation for filing.
Backs up payroll and accounts payable staff periodically to cover for absences or on occasions when a backup is required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance or the equivalent combination of classroom training and/or job-related experience required. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Prior experience in a healthcare organization preferred.
