Senior Manager, Risk Management — As a Senior Manager Project Manager in the Risk Remediation Program Office, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company. The team seeks a senior project manager to lead a large, complex project supporting our risk and regulatory commitments. The senior project manager will partner with senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels to develop, implement, and drive towards our regulatory commitments. Responsibilities
Lead large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports. Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex dynamic environment, adapting to changing requirements. Ensure projects are documented to mitigate risk and delivered on time. Analyze data to identify and drive remediation solutions. Use problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent. Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical support to drive project delivery. Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments. Understand the risk landscape, including lines of defence, controls development and testing strategies, and risk management framework. Demonstrate strong influencing skills to drive project or program efforts. Show a proven track record of excellent project management, with the ability to quickly establish structure in a dynamic, complex environment. Exhibit excellent communication and partnership skills essential for interacting with stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or military experience At least 8 years of Project Management experience At least 4 years of Risk Management experience At least 1 year of People Management experience Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree 10+ years of Project Management experience 3+ years of People Management experience PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries are listed below, by location. Salaries are for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on hours worked. Riverwoods, IL: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr. Risk Manager Chicago, IL: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr. Risk Manager McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900 for Sr. Risk Manager Candidates hired for other locations will receive the pay range associated with that location. The actual salary offered will be reflected in the offer letter. This role may be eligible for performance-based incentives (cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives).
