Our client is looking for a knowledgeable and hands-on
Financial Reporting Manager
to oversee our external financial reporting and technical accounting functions. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with SEC reporting experience and a strong grasp of U.S. GAAP, looking to make an impact in a collaborative and mission-driven banking environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and bank regulatory reporting requirements Coordinate with auditors and regulators during examinations and audits Research and apply technical accounting guidance for new or complex transactions Manage the implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., CECL, ASC 842, etc.) Oversee the preparation of board and executive-level financial packages Work closely with legal, compliance, investor relations, and other departments to align disclosures Train and mentor accounting staff on reporting and technical accounting topics Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA required) 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in SEC reporting Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) preferred In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls Experience with banking or financial institutions is preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Seniority level
