What You Will Get To Do: Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reports, and management reporting packages. Oversee general ledger maintenance, NAV calculations, and portfolio performance reporting for private credit funds and SPVs. Ensure proper accounting for capital calls, distributions, management fees, incentive allocations, and fund expenses. Manage relationships with fund administrators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting deliverables. Oversee accounting and reporting for private credit instruments, including senior secured loans, unitranche, mezzanine, subordinated debt, structured credit, and co-investments. Review loan schedules, cash/PIK interest accruals, amortization, and covenant monitoring. Partner with valuation teams to ensure fair value methodologies for illiquid credit instruments are appropriately applied and documented. Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, restructurings, and new investment structures. Review and approve investor notices (capital calls, distributions, statements). Support fundraising efforts by preparing accounting-related sections of offering materials and investor due diligence requests. Manage annual audits, tax compliance processes, and coordinate with external auditors, tax providers, and legal advisors. Respond to Limited Partner requests for financial and operational data. Ensure compliance with fund governing documents, partnership agreements, and accounting policies. Support regulatory filings (Form PF, AIFMD, FATCA/CRS, etc.) as required. Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures for private credit fund operations. Supervise and mentor junior accountants; review their work for accuracy and compliance. Drive efficiency through automation, system improvements, and best practices in fund accounting. Act as a key point of contact for investment teams, providing accounting insights to deal structuring and portfolio management. What You Will Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA/ACCA strongly preferred). 6–10 years of progressive experience in fund accounting, audit, or financial reporting within
private credit, direct lending, or alternative investment funds . Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP (ASC 946) and/or IFRS for investment funds. Proven experience managing teams, audits, and fund administrators. Proficiency with fund accounting systems (e.g., Allvue, Investran, eFront, Geneva) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent leadership, project management, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with
complex waterfall and carried interest structures . Knowledge of
multi-currency and cross-border fund structures
(Cayman, Luxembourg, Delaware). Familiarity with loan portfolio management systems and credit analytics. Ability to work effectively with senior investment professionals and external stakeholders.
