Position
Trade Compliance Analyst role at Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA. Responsibilities
Support the Trade Compliance Manager by providing analytical and administrative support for customs and trade compliance matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations. Oversee and ensure the accuracy of the inventory and customs records for the foreign trade zone (FTZ). Admit and withdraw product from the FTZ, control and reconcile inventory, and provide support and training to staff involved in FTZ operations. Perform and/or monitor product movement in and out of the FTZ, and ensure entries are properly declared to U.S. Customs (including daily admissions 214, 3461, 7501, and 7512). Reconcile system inventory between PYMAC and OneSource, execute adjustments as needed, and address inventory issues affecting the FTZ. Conduct routine audits of FTZ operations (customs filings, physical security, inventory control, recordkeeping). Classify products to meet U.S. government requirements (HTS, ECCN, COO). Propose process improvements to increase efficiency and support trade compliance projects. Develop and/or support trade compliance reporting and maintenance of master data and system accuracy. Prepare and submit quarterly and annual reports to U.S. Customs and the FTZ Board. Coordinate with Customs during on-site audits and provide information as required. Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes in local and international trade regulations and ensure company practices comply. Serve as an internal resource for import/export compliance information requests. Develop and provide necessary compliance training to operational personnel. Implement and adhere to YMMC Integrated Management System policies (including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, C-TPAT, FTZ requirements). Perform all other duties necessary to ensure business success and conformance. Qualifications
Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree OR 5 years experience with an Associate's degree Other Required Skills: Valid U.S. Customs Broker license, or ability to obtain is preferred Minimum 2 years FTZ experience and/or related trade compliance role Demonstrated application of project management and problem-solving techniques Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience working in a team environment Job Details
