Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled
Tax & Accounting Specialist
to join our team. This person will be responsible for managing the firm’s internal accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial records, and coordinating tax planning and compliance for the business and our clients (where applicable). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, client-focused environment and wants to be a key player in supporting a growing firm’s operational and financial success. May be eligible to work in the Aliso Viejo or Costa Mesa office depending on location Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal review. Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate annual tax filings, including preparing supporting documentation for corporate tax returns. Collaborate with external CPAs or tax advisors as needed. Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic business decisions. Ensure compliance with relevant tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial operations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or EA designation strongly preferred). 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax preparation (experience in financial services or wealth management a plus). Strong knowledge of GAAP, corporate tax compliance, and financial reporting. Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite experience preferred) and Excel. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a small, professional team. What We Offer
