Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in Wilmington, Massachusetts About LightForce LightForce Orthodontics uses advanced manufacturing technologies and proprietary CAD software to create patient-matched orthodontic solutions designed to reduce treatment duration and chair-time for clinicians. Description We are looking for a Director of Finance & Accounting to join our team. The role requires a talented, self-starter professional with strong FP&A experience and some accounting background, who is a good leader and developer of talent, communicates effectively, is process- and data-driven, works well under pressure, and is eager to learn and be developed. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will lead the Company’s budgeting and forecasting, accounting and book close, financial reporting, and variance analysis, among other responsibilities. The role includes providing financial consulting and strategic support to the CFO, CEO, and senior management, including pricing decisions, new product or market initiatives, revenue analysis, financing and capital expenditure decisions, budget preparation, board presentations, acquisition analysis, and other projects requested by the CEO, CFO, and senior management. Ideal candidates will have experience at a high-growth venture capital-backed technology company with revenues of $40m to $200m, FP&A and accounting experience (including inventory management), and knowledge of ERP systems, particularly NetSuite. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the Finance and Accounting functions and manage the relationship between Finance and Accounting with senior leadership reporting to the CFO Oversee the Accounting and Book close process to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial results Oversee the successful completion of the Annual Audited Financial statements with the Independent Auditor Provide the CFO, CEO and Senior Leadership Team with analysis of financial results, comparison to plan, and revised forecasts as needed; provide department heads with in-depth analysis of their results Prepare presentations to the senior management team and the board; develop budgets and forecasts with market leaders Analyze revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital project expenditures Monitor key performance indicators, highlight trends, and analyze causes of variance Oversee and manage the Operating Plan process, quarterly/rolling forecasts, and financial modeling to support P&L consolidation across multiple entities Ad-hoc reporting and analysis Conduct quarterly and monthly financial reviews with budget owners Improve processes to drive efficiencies and assess ROI in manufacturing, product costing, marketing programs, capital projects, and product roll-outs Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives Analyze complex financial information to provide timely recommendations for management decisions Education and Experience All applicants must be at least 21 years of age Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA highly preferred; CPA or CMA a plus 7 to 10 years of FP&A experience, preferably in a high-growth environment, with 1-2 years in a management role Some accounting experience and/or experience managing a book close process with manufacturing operations Required Qualifications Strong cross-functional leadership skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff Strong attention to detail and accuracy Experience with budgeting and predictive financial modeling; some accounting experience Highest standards of integrity, accuracy and precision; highly organized Excellent verbal and written communication skills Creative thinker, highly driven and self-motivated Ability to work independently and multi-task Hands-on management style and collaborative problem solving Experience monitoring operating expense budgets for SG&A, R&D, and capital projects Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with NetSuite and budgeting tools Experience with product revenue and cost of goods sold analysis Physical Demands Regularly required to sit or stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, see, listen, and speak Office environment up to 90% of the time Open office environment; sedentary position Moderate noise level Limited temperature fluctuations; heated and air-conditioned environment Perks and Benefits (US Employees Only) Unlimited PTO for exempt employees 10 paid holidays per year Generous medical and dental plan coverage Group voluntary life insurance Paid parental leave Workplace perks such as food and coffee LightForce Orthodontics is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
