Our client is a private equity-backed organization experiencing rapid growth both organically and through acquisitions. The company seeks a seasoned
Senior Accountant
to provide immediate support during a period of significant transition and system improvements. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment and is suitable for professionals between permanent roles or those seeking a short-term engagement. Responsibilities
Lead and support monthly close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and reports comply with GAAP. Maintain accurate records of purchasing, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable. Prepare and file state and local tax returns, estimates, and business registrations. Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation entries, and capitalization policies. Monitor and ensure accurate inventory valuation, including coordination of annual physical inventory counts. Reconcile cash accounts, general ledger balances, and other key financial statements. Support annual audit processes, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests. Oversee adherence to accounting policies and internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Identify and implement process improvements across accounting and financial operations. Assist with system-related projects and ERP transition activities as needed. Required Experience/Skills
Minimum 5 years of corporate accounting experience in a high-volume environment. Minimum 2 years of experience with NetSuite ERP system (required). Strong technical accounting skills with advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, macros a plus). Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, acquisition-oriented environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and functions. Self-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Experience/Skills
Experience supporting ERP or accounting system migrations. Background in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations. Strong working knowledge of other ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.). Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A CPA certification or Master\'s degree in Accounting/Finance is a plus. Benefits
