Overview
Our client is a premier global credit investment platform with multi-billion-dollar AUM across private credit, structured credit, and opportunistic strategies. The firm is expanding its footprint in esoteric ABS and digital infrastructure-backed private credit, including royalty streams, fiber networks, data centers, and other high-growth, non-traditional asset classes. Role Overview
The Investment Director will lead origination, underwriting, and portfolio management of privately negotiated credit investments backed by esoteric and commercial ABS assets, with a strong emphasis on digital infrastructure and royalty-based cash flows. This is a strategic, high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and investment committees. Key Responsibilities
Source and execute private credit investments across: Royalty-backed structures (e.g., music, pharma, IP) Fiber networks and broadband infrastructure Data centers and digital infrastructure assets Whole business securitizations and other esoteric ABS Lead underwriting, structuring, and due diligence processes for complex, asset-backed transactions. Develop and maintain relationships with originators, sponsors, servicers, and specialty finance platforms. Negotiate deal terms, covenants, and legal documentation in collaboration with internal and external counsel. Monitor portfolio performance and proactively manage risk and exposure. Contribute to strategic capital deployment decisions and portfolio construction. Candidate Profile
7 years of experience in private credit, structured finance, or specialty lending, with a focus on esoteric ABS and/or digital infrastructure. Strong track record of sourcing and executing bespoke, privately negotiated transactions. Deep understanding of asset-backed structures, credit risk, and legal frameworks. Buy-side experience preferred (credit fund, asset manager, private equity). Highly analytical with strong modeling and structuring skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities. Preferred Backgrounds
