A leading national law firm is seeking a talented Labor & Employment Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience to join its dynamic team in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of employment-related matters in a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic counseling on employment law issues including hiring, separation, wage and hour compliance, EEO matters, non-compete and trade secret issues.
Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and handbooks.
Support due diligence for corporate transactions and advise on employee accommodations and leave issues.
Conduct internal investigations and manage employment litigation (single plaintiff and class/collective actions).
Preference for candidates with traditional labor experience, including union-related matters, NLRB proceedings, labor arbitrations, and collective bargaining agreements.
Qualifications
Strong academic credentials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
Must be admitted to the Illinois State Bar and in good standing.
Compensation
Salary range: $235,000 – $275,000, depending on experience.
