Work Status Details: REGULAR FULL TIME | 80.00 Hours Every Two Weeks Shift: Days Pay Rate Type: Annual Salary Location: Cancer Center Summary: The Director of Ambulatory Operations assumes administrative responsibility for the management of assigned ambulatory/outpatient practices to include multiple locations and outreach clinics. The incumbent is primarily accountable for the planning, implementation and operation of the department in order to meet the needs of the organization. Participates in strategic planning as it relates to the ambulatory network, the hospital as a whole, and the health service, recommends space and resource allocation needed by the department/service to support the mission, vision and strategic objectives of Onvida Health. The Director will provide leadership and expertise in the management of the department and establish objectives and current standards of ambulatory practice; defines, interprets, and implements the philosophy and objectives for Onvida's ambulatory operations. Responsible for clinical excellence, accountable for strategic business planning, program development and administration, fiscal accountability, human resource management, quality management, and effective dyad partnership with physician leaders; facilitates and manages operational change while maintaining optimal patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. The Director ensures compliance with the standards set forth by regulatory agencies (i.e., CMS, AZHHA, CDC, etc.) including all documentation requirements. Continually evaluates core processes to improve clinical operations, reduce cost, reduce cycle time, enhance service, and improve quality and patient safety performance. Maintain outpatient practice licensure and support the broader needs of the organization. The position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, and may be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after disasters or unplanned code triage events. Fiscal Management Competency: demonstrates accountability for financial results, develops annual budget and operational plan, engages staff to contain costs, and applies healthcare financial management practices. Accountability: Establishes financial targets and budgets, identifies growth opportunities, and develops business plans for new services with scorecard reporting. Customer Service Competency: commits to excellent service for patients, physicians, employees and customers; communicates effectively; fosters open and respectful interactions; promotes patient- and family-centered care; improves referral patterns and addresses issues with leadership to resolve them timely. Partners with Physician Recruitment in provider recruitment and onboarding.
