The primary duty of the Construction Management Business Class Director is to provide strategic nationwide focus on HDR as a preferred provider for construction services in the water infrastructure industry. The Director leads CM business development, project delivery and group leadership/communications. The role captures and codifies best practices, tools, templates, protocols and other intelligence to sustain successful Construction Management delivery across the entire Business Group. This position reports to the WBG Service Delivery Director. Responsibilities

Business Development:

Maintain market intelligence regarding industry competition, potential partners, acquisitions and/or new hires. Capture HDR and competition SOQs, proposals, presentations, scopes of work with associated fees. Ensure all regions maintain CM pursuit target lists and Client Maintenance plans relevant to CM delivery. Support capture planning efforts, preproposal visits, qualifications and proposal preparation to establish a more formulaic approach to HDR CM business development and client interaction. Provide marketing support on pursuits to elevate HDR's selection hit rate. Maintain List of Major CM or PM/CM or OA/CM Projects. Maintain Toolkit, related SharePoint sites and promote best practices/tools across the Business Group. Implement presentation/interview training workshops for all Senior Construction Managers.

Project Delivery:

Capture/disseminate relevant CM delivery lessons learned as necessary. Ensure use of HDR best practices, procedures, templates and protocol for more consistent CM delivery coast to coast. Collaborate with other Business Class Directors on delivery of existing projects and long-term tactical plans for the water construction services program. Provide principal level project management and issue resolution when needed. Track/trend actual project delivery costs against budget and incorporate lessons learned into future scope/fee development. Maintain list of CM/CI resources and availability and provide CM resource planning across the Business Group. Lead PARR reviews (for projects entering the construction phase) and train staff to be Lead Reviewers; attend PARR reviews as needed. Perform occasional project site audits to ensure proper CM protocol and owner communication. Promote the use of the RAKEN Field Reporting App; manage licenses, distribute seats, request new seats and coordinate payments. Promote and administer use of Newforma Construction Administration (Newforma CA) software for managing workflows and dashboards. Serve as the WBG point of contact on questions related to CMIS and update the HDR Construction Management Manual, procedures/forms & field checklists.

Leadership and Communications:

Reinvigorate the CM Practice Community with regular calls and sharing wins and lessons learned. Collaborate with Field Services communications and other leaders; participate in Field Services Steering Committee. Lead CMAA engagement. Represent HDR as a CMAA member and manage dues, sponsorships and nominations for national project awards; maintain CCM designation among HDR employees. Ensure staff development through CM training plans and sessions.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 15+ years of experience in managing construction delivery programs for the water infrastructure industry. PE or related professional certifications are desirable. Location: This position can be located in any US HDR office.

Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and related technical experience Experience in development and management of diverse teams Collaborates with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values Active participation in our employee-owned culture is a must

We provide a comprehensive benefits package and the expected compensation range for this position is $163,422-$324,250 depending on skills, experience, education and location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions; temporary/part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Primary Location:
