Construction Management Business Class Director (Water Business Group) role at HDR. The primary duty is to provide strategic focus nationally on positioning HDR as a preferred provider for construction services in the water infrastructure industry. The Director provides Business Group-wide leadership regarding CM business development, project delivery and group leadership/communications. Maintain market intelligence regarding industry competition, potential partners, acquisitions and/or new hires. Capture HDR and competition SOQs, proposals, presentations, scopes of work with associated fees. Ensure all regions maintain CM pursuit target lists and Client Maintenance plans relevant to CM delivery. Support capture planning efforts, preproposal visitations, qualifications and proposal preparation to establish a more formulaic approach to HDR CM business development and client interaction. Provide marketing support on all pursuits to elevate HDR’s selection hit rate. Maintain List of Major CM or PM/CM or OA/CM Projects. Maintain Toolkit, related SharePoint sites and promote best practices/tools across the Business Group. Implement Presentation/Interview training workshops for all Senior Construction Managers. Project Delivery

Capture/disseminate relevant CM delivery lessons learned as necessary. Ensure use of HDR best practices, procedures, templates and protocol to ensure more consistent CM delivery coast to coast. Work closely with other Business Class Directors on delivery of existing projects and developing long-term tactical plans for the water construction services program. Provide principal level project management and issue resolution when needed. Track/trend actual project delivery costs against budget and incorporate lessons learned into future scope/fee development. Maintain list of CM/CI resources and availability and provide CM resource planning across the Business Group. Lead PARR reviews (for projects entering the construction phase). Train additional staff to be Lead Reviewers by including them in the reviews. Attend PARR reviews as needed. Perform project site audits occasionally to ensure proper Construction Management protocol, presence of necessary resources and address owner feedback. Promote the use of RAKEN Field Reporting App; update HDR Technical Guidelines as needed. Manage annual renewal of licenses and coordinate with relevant teams. Promote and administer use of Newforma Construction Administration (Newforma CA) software for managing workflows and providing a status dashboard. Coordinate with relevant personnel. Serve as the WBG point of contact on questions related to other Construction Management Information Systems (CMIS). Update and maintain HDR Construction Management Manual, CM Procedures/Forms & Field Checklists. Prepare or update as needed and ensure CM access/use across the Business Group. Construction Management Leadership and Communications

Reinvigorate CM Practice Community, plan and conduct regular CM Practice Community calls and broadcast CM group wins, lessons learned and information. Collaborate with Field Services Communications Director, Construction Services Director, other Business Group CM Business Class Directors, SH&E Director, Field Services Client Development Lead, Project Controls Director, CCC Director of Operations and participate in Field Services Steering Committee. Lead CMAA engagement. Represent HDR as a Member, CMAA Board of Directors. Coordinate payment of the annual membership dues, sponsorship opportunities, and nominations for CMAA national awards. Maintain list of HDR CCMs and encourage certification pursuit. Ensure WBG CM staff development. Maintain existing and develop new CM training plan, protocol and sessions. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 15+ years experience in managing construction delivery programs for the water infrastructure industry. PE or related professional certifications are desirable. This position can be located in any US HDR office. Required Qualifications

The expected compensation range for this position is $163,422-$324,250 depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. Primary Location:
