The Principal, Business Development - Systems Engineering role leads relationships and pursuits of key strategic accounts within Digital Services offerings — Modernization, Enterprise Applications, Cloud Engineering, and Quality Assurance & Test Engineering. This role operates across core industry verticals such as Telecommunications, Financial Services, Healthcare, and Consumer, ensuring that all aspects of account work—from strategic development to execution—exceed client expectations. The Principal collaborates with Business Development and Marketing leadership on product, brand, market, and sales strategies, coordinates new leads, fields new business opportunities, and wins new business. Responsibilities
Identify target accounts to optimize services and communicate TELUS Digital's capabilities to clients Articulate product features to implement technology solutions successfully Collaborate with TELUS Digital teams to craft executive-level proposals, pitches, and SOWs for prospective and existing clients Cultivate and extend C-level relationships with current clients Team up with delivery leadership to respond to opportunities and team-sell through RFP responses or other sales cycles Advise TELUS Digital internal teams on industry and vendor trends to remain well-positioned to assist clients Maintain deep relationships across contact center technology partners to ensure the client's best interests are in view Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in Modernization and other technologies that may impact client projects Ability to travel up to 25% for client visits, pitches, and conferences if based in one of the office locations; higher travel (~40%) may be expected for remote team members to maintain a frequent presence in offices Qualifications
Deep experience in Modernization engagements for Fortune 500 clients within a top-tier management consulting firm Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and clients simultaneously Ability to identify and characterize business issues, demonstrating a clear sense of value Experience scoping and planning analyses, identifying required data, and procuring it accordingly Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels; excellent client relationship management and executive presence Equal Opportunity Employer
