Position for Sempra Infrastructure (SI) across all business lines in North America. Lead and direct the SCM strategic operations team, spanning indirect procurement, fleet management, foreign trade, logistics, materials management, O&M, and related activities. Develop and execute strategic vision aligned with company goals, drive operational excellence, and foster cross-functional collaboration to maximize value and ensure safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
Lead execution, performance and compliance team activities with established policies and procedures.
Foster a team culture aligned with SI safety values and ensure safe operations.
Manage, hire, and allocate resources to maximize efficiency and meet business requirements.
Develop and manage talent through coaching and training programs.
Oversee continuous development and improvement of the team, processes, systems, contracting and documentation.
Develop and implement career ladders and career plans to foster retention and development.
Conduct periodic reviews to ensure the team meets business requirements and delivers measurable benefits.
Ensure policies and procedures are followed and updated as needed.
Support development, maintenance and continuous improvement of SCM policies and responsibilities.
Create and manage metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting; enable effective communication with stakeholders.
Provide guidance on procurement strategies and maintain procurement ethics.
Establish deep industry insights and use market intelligence to develop long-range supply strategies.
Lead strategic activities aligned with company vision and strategy, including indirect procurement, customs compliance, fleet management, logistics, material management, and O&M procurement objectives.
Develop and execute contractual strategies to deliver value (cost savings, enhancements).
Develop RFO strategies to ensure operational reliability.
Collaborate with category management to define supplier strategies and relationships for enterprise-wide services.
Develop a holistic North American strategy in support of operations excellence.
Lead major contract negotiations and contract compliance strategies.
Coordinate with other SCM teams for alignment on category strategies and initiatives.
Maintain relationship management with internal and external stakeholders and support business strategies.
Manage the team’s budget and cost codes strategically.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
15 years of leading SCM teams in support of O&M and capital project execution required.
12 years in broad aspects of supply chain management including contracts, procurement, logistics, and material management required.
8 years of managing a team of direct and indirect reports required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to define program requirements and use data and metrics to drive improvements.
Knowledge of large-scale O&M contracts and risk/terms management.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder partnership capabilities.
Strategic thinking, negotiation, and change management skills.
Financial, quantitative, and analytical skills; ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Ability to manage uncertainty and adapt to market dynamics.
Other Conditions
About 30% international and domestic travel via automobile, airplane and/or mass transit.
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.
Certified in Supply Management (CSM) preferred.
Certified Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.
Certified Supply Chain Management (CSCP) preferred.
Six-Sigma (Black, Green or Yellow Belt) preferred.
Work Schedule HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 3 days per week onsite.

Pay $169,400.00 - $254,100.00 / year
Notes Pay Transparency: The actual pay rate will depend on qualifications and experience. This position may be eligible for an annual performance-based incentive and other standard benefits.
