Project Manager with demonstrated design and/or construction experience

to support a variety of projects at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in Aspen, CO ("ASE"). Candidates should be self-motivated critical thinkers and have the capacity to work within a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will be capable of working individually and in team environments. Strong oral communication skills, including the capability to understand and follow oral and written communication, are also required. The Deputy Project Manager has primary responsibility for supporting overall project performance including understanding and reporting on costs, schedule, quality, and project status. This position involves liaison with company Clients, design teams, general contractors, airport management and staff, and key stakeholders. Additionally, the Deputy Project Manager is responsible for supporting the management of the technical and financial aspects of the contract. Responsibilities

Essential Functions of the Position: The Deputy Project Manager will report to the Executive Program Manager and will share and support the following responsibilities: Overall planning, design, permitting, construction, and turnover of construction projects. Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to mutually agreed expectations. Assist with developing and accessing procurement strategies and delivery of FF&E or other segments of the client’s budget. Facilitate involvement of the project’s key stakeholders at appropriate levels and times. Support team and client’s project administrative needs. Contribute to the development of program processes and tools that facilitate consistency and quality execution across the project/program. Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements; prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification. Identifies project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conducts standard requests for proposals; completes bid analysis; recommends resources to clients. Implements project documentation governance aligned with company and Client requirements. Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated. Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Supports change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk. Provides construction inspection services as needed Supports design development and associated permitting Proficient in reviewing construction drawings and specifications, schedules and budgets Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the owner, architect, consultants, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders Liaise with governing authorities and regulatory agencies Establish and maintain project reporting procedures Prepare/verify and monitor progress billings to the owner and from contracted service providers Provide performance status reports regarding project progress, cost forecasts, schedule, and safety Support all facets of project close-out Other duties as assigned by the Executive Program Manager Qualifications

Must possess demonstrated ability in managing project design and/or construction components. Abilities to facilitate productive meetings between stakeholders are highly desirable. Additional preferred qualities and skills include superior organizational ability and strong process orientation, the ability to work with others in a team environment, and effective people skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, etc. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience with a strong preference for five (5) years of work experience. Licensing/Certifications

Software/OfficeEquipment – proficient in/able to quickly learn computer software applications utilized to administer terms of the contract through project controls (e.g. MS Project, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, etc.) Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Planning/organizing– prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans Quality control— demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit for long periods, bend, use hands to manipulate (type), talk and hear; walk; sit, and lift or move no more than ten (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Mental Demands

Working Conditions

Primarily working at a construction site out of a field office or construction trailer. May be required to travel occasionally as needed to satisfy company and client needs.
