Title: Senior Procurement Manager – High Voltage. Department: Procurement – High Voltage. Location: Irvine, CA. Supervisor: Director of Procurement. FLSA Status: Exempt. Position Status: Permanent, Full-time. Work Status: Hybrid. Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA) provides turnkey utility-scale modules, solar PV, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects with EPC services nationwide. The role focuses on sourcing, contracting, and execution for high-voltage electrical substations and equipment, owning one or more major procurement categories such as transformers, breakers, relays, services, or full substation EPC. Collaboration with engineering, project management, construction, legal, and finance is required to ensure cost-effectiveness, timeliness, and risk mitigation. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize procurement of materials and/or services. Manage relationships with key suppliers aligned with the company’s strategic goals. Manage RFx processes, including: Prepare RFIs & RFPs to qualified suppliers with cross-functional data gathering. Determine and maintain bid schedules by project schedules. Coordinate responses to bidder questions. Review, compare, and evaluate proposals with market pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities. Lead commercial negotiations for HV equipment supply agreements, project orders, and change orders, coordinating with the Director of Procurement (HV). Incorporate utility-scale renewal complexities into RFP/contracting strategies (e.g., safe-harbor needs, domestic content, IRA timing). Manage change order processes for suppliers and mentor Procurement Specialists. Ensure prime contract flow-downs in subcontract documents where applicable. Monitor supplier compliance with contract terms and project requirements. Support Project Management with contract information to resolve issues (under-performance or scope gaps). Evaluate vendor performance and drive improvement initiatives. Maintain purchasing records and track market data for leadership updates. Identify, qualify, and onboard new vendors. Attend as required per attendance policy; travel up to 20%; remote options possible with preference to CST/MST/PST or Irvine/Houston locations. Lead development and execution of category strategies with minimal oversight (3–5 year sourcing plans). Negotiate high-value/complex terms, including framework agreements or long-term partnerships. Provide thought leadership to optimize procurement processes and systems; mentor junior staff; represent SCM in cross-functional leadership forums. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required 5–7 years in Contract Management and/or Procurement 3–4 years in utility-scale solar/renewable energy or large construction projects (> $30M) Experience leading capital equipment purchasing, contract management, and change order management; solar/renewable preferred Experience with strategic sourcing initiatives Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment Strong prioritization, organization, and communication skills Proven cross-functional collaboration and vendor relationship management Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore and SAP or ability to learn quickly Ability to identify, investigate, and solve problems promptly Salary

The anticipated starting pay range for Irvine, CA is $150,000 – $175,000 base salary per year. All statements reflect California Pay Transparency Act requirements and may vary by location, experience, and other factors.
