Quality Supervisor - Aerospace

Parker Meggitt (Securaplane) is part of Parker Hannifin and specializes in a wide range of products for aerospace markets. Responsibilities Provide direct supervision of Quality Inspectors’ activities. Monitor time and attendance and schedule overtime as necessary. Plan tasks and schedules efficiently and effectively. Perform First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102. Develop product inspection plans and control plans. Schedule and coordinate customer and FAA product conformities; schedule customer source inspections. Review data and information and make accept/reject decisions about products, processes, and validations. Coordinate tool and equipment calibration; maintain 6S in inspection areas. Participate in AS9100 internal audits, procedural edits and customer audits. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Repair, Engineering and Document Control; foster collaboration across departments. Lead, manage, and coach teams in line with Parker’s values and High Performance Culture. Use discretion and independent judgment when evaluating courses of action; decide after considering options. Coordinate corrective actions and perform root cause analysis. Lead Quality Clinic activities and interact with customers and suppliers (program management reviews, supplier audits, customer audits). Utilize customer databases and apply Lean Enterprise and Lean Manufacturing tools. Apply Statistical Analysis tools and monitor DPPM with countermeasures. Oversee and coordinate tool and equipment calibration activities. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or a Quality-related technical discipline preferred. Certifications: ASQ CQA, CQT, or CQI beneficial. Experience: Minimum 8 years in an aerospace manufacturing setting with at least 5 years in a quality-related position; 5 years in a management role. Experience with AS9100 / ISO9001 requirements; fully versed with AS9102 requirements and First Article Inspections. Familiarity with J-STD and IPC standards; experience with FAA regulatory requirements (14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65, 120, 145). Training skills for effectively training team members; strong communication for adult learning. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, processes and assembly specifications; knowledge of GD&T, drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, SOPs. Strong planning, leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management; capable of statistical analysis and continuous improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence and lead a cross-functional team.
