CNC Machine Shop Manager

MAGicALL, Inc. The Machining Manager is responsible for overseeing the machining operations within the manufacturing facility. This role includes managing a team of machinists, ensuring production efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality control. The Machining Manager will play a key role in optimizing processes, implementing best practices, and ensuring that all machining tasks are completed safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of machinists in daily operations, providing guidance and support.
Oversee the setup and operation of various machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, and presses.
Ensure adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards throughout the machining process.
Conduct regular quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop efficient assembly line processes.
Train staff on proper machining techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance to upper management.
Qualifications
Proficient in assembling components using various machining tools and techniques.
Experience with Fanuc programming for CNC machines is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of quality control processes and methodologies.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Ability to fabricate parts from raw materials according to specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to machining operations.
