The Project Coordinator I is responsible for aiding in the coordination of the day to day project management activities throughout all phases of Sonic’s Plant Construction projects, while promoting Sonic's core values of outstanding customer service, quality, security and integrity. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Project Coordinator I is a full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt position. Ideally a Hybrid role, HQ in Santa Rosa CA. Travel

Understand the fundamentals of a construction project lifecycle as it pertains to utilities (pre-engineering, engineering, construction, and post-construction activities) Understand permitting processes for aerial and underground construction (durations, extensions, permitting, traffic control requirements, etc.) Have a general understanding of aerial and underground construction and transitioning between methods to maintain continuity in network construction Interface with municipal building and roadway departments to complete permit applications, coordinate inspections, and secure completion approvals Proficient with Word/Excel/Outlook/Adobe PDF Prepare purchase order requests and monitor construction tracking Prepare and track check requests Deliver permit applications and fees to agencies to secure construction permits Knowledge of State, Highway Department, Railway & Municipal requirements for permitting processes Learn and implement AT&T and PG&E paperwork processes and procedures Assist with the preparation of SOW documents and permitting processes as requested Schedule traffic control and no parking signs Monitor permit expirations and request extensions as needed Manage Closeout process (file NOCs, As-Builts, Closing Permits, CPUC/PG&E/AT&T Permits, etc.) Review as-built drawings to verify quantities for billing Create and send construction notices prior to construction and testing activities Coordinate with IT and Logistics to issue contractor ID badges and related items Prepare and submit map requests (ATT, GIS, Cable Pulls, etc.) Use JIRA workflows and upload related project files to SharePoint or network drives Competencies
