Overview
The Walsh-VINCI Transit Community Partners (WVTCP) Joint Venture consisting of VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Walsh Construction has been selected to construct the $2.9BN Design Build Red Line Extension (RLE) project – the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). The RLE Mainline Design-Build (MDB) Project will extend the CTA's Red Line by 5.6 miles, extending from the existing terminal at 95th/Dan Ryan south to 130th Street and Doty Avenue. The Senior Subcontract Manager (Procurement/Contracts Manager) will be responsible for the management of the commercial, administration and contractual aspects of the Designer JV. Responsibilities
Serve as the legal expert for the management of the Designer JV contract Support the Technical Manager in contract administration of the Designer JV contract letter, claim analysis, change order, invoice check Support the Technical Manager in ESDC (Engineering Support During Construction) management and administration with Designer (part of DBJV responsibility and budget) and with Client (part of Client responsibility and allowance) Qualifications
Required Legal degree, Master Degree in Civil Engineer Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in a contractual administration position with Designer and main Subcontractors Experience and knowledge in technical and design & build topics Experience in partnering with an executive team, with excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and has strong interpersonal skills Commercial awareness with the ability to understand broader business issues Experience working on Joint Venture (JV) construction projects Fluent in English with professional proficiency Valid Driver’s License Preferred Ability to work in multicultural environment Salary Range
$140,000.00 - $150,000.00 Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 25lbs Walking and standing while in-office or on-site Occasional climbing on and off equipment and bending Benefits
