At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
We have an immediate need for a highly motivated, client-focused Senior Project Manager in Washington, D.C. The successful candidate will offer a demonstrated history of delivering projects in an At-Risk environment, preferably for an ENR-Ranked Commercial General Contractor. Experience with projects valued above $30,000,000 is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Federal market sector, particularly projects for USACE and NAVFAC. This is a long-term growth opportunity as we continue to expand our capabilities in the delivery of Design-Build @ Risk construction projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for the management of a project including but not limited to design development; procurement and management of consultants and contractors; overseeing construction, commissioning, and closeout; managing and tracking project budgets and schedules; and ensuring final acceptance and turnover of projects to clients. As Jacobs’ Senior Project Manager in a Design Build @ Risk delivery, you will generally oversee a General Contractor in the execution of projects for which Jacobs is the Designer of Record and holds the Prime Contract for Design and Construction. With the support of Field Operations, Quality and Safety professionals, you will work closely with a General Contractor to ensure that our projects are delivered safely on time and in accordance with quality standards. Your leadership during construction will include client relations, resourcing and team supervision, and driving operational excellence through your oversight of production, quality and safety. Your experience will be essential to driving team actions toward minimizing risks and resolving construction issues. You will be responsible for internal progress reporting on issues related to Cost Projections and Risk Management.
Bring your curiosity, passion for innovation, and talent for multitasking in a fast-paced environment. We’ll help you grow, pursue, and fulfill what inspires you—so we can make big impacts on the world together.
We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work. During construction, assume this role may require 100% of your time on site.
