What You Will Do

Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment. Understand Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Collaborate with a fast-paced team, troubleshoot technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, and integrate hardware and operating systems. Understand data RAID, data backup technologies, install and configure software applications requested by end users. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures. Must be able to obtain DoD 8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date. Systems are operational 24x7 and may require work outside standard hours. Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of direct system experience or a master’s degree and 3 years of directly related experience. Must have a transferable U.S. government issued secret clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have Windows and Linux experience. Experience in one of the following: Active Directory, VMware, networking administration.

Qualifications We Prefer

An active DoD TS clearance. DoDD 8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) and an Operating System Certification. Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF. In-depth Windows Server experience. Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions. Experience with IT project lifecycle management processes. Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX and/or other virtualization methods. Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development. Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange. HPC experience in a Linux environment. Scripting experience.

Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers factors when extending an offer, including role, responsibilities, experience, location, education, and key skills.
