The Deposit Operations Generalist plays a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of bank policies and procedures across all deposit-related functions while supporting different operational areas and providing coverage as needed. This position works closely with supervisors and managers from Deposit Services, Wire Operations, Exception Processing, and Card Services to support daily operations and maintain compliance. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Duties And Responsibilities

Perform and monitor customer and account maintenance tasks, including updating dormancy status, processing stop payments, applying posting restrictions, and other related activities. Conduct second-day reviews of newly opened consumer and business accounts. Monitor and process death notices and Reclamations. Process non-post items, stop payment suspects, and exception items such as large checks, duplicates, ACH returns, and chargebacks. Handle claims for forged checks and check adjustments. Monitor and resolve outstanding general ledger entries across multiple accounts. Process ATM, ACH, and debit card disputes in accordance with Regulation E, Mastercard Zero Liability, and NACHA rules. Monitor first-line defense activities and report potential loss or compliance concerns to management. Ensure all department activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of required compliance training. Process incoming and outgoing domestic and international wire transfers. Manage safe deposit box payment processing and reconciliation. Assist with the Annual Unclaimed Property Project. Monitor and process requests from work queues and department emails. Support incoming calls to department hotlines. Collaborate with department leaders to ensure consistent operational standards. Maintain progress toward individual and department goals. Provide flexible support and problem-solving assistance to team members across Deposit Operations, including coverage for absences, peak periods, and workload balancing. Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency. Adhere to department scheduling and Paid Time Off policies; flexibility is essential. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent education required. 5+ years previous banking experience. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Must be outgoing, have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Possess strong communication skills both verbally and in writing. Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. Be self-motivated with a strong attention to detail. Demonstrated strength in change management, organizational planning, and strategic coordination. Must have a dedicated workspace and a fast, reliable internet connection to support uninterrupted remote work. Office space is available if preferred. Physical Demands/Work Environment

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices. Byline Bank supports a hybrid work environment for this position. This role allows a combination of remote and in-office work, with occasional office visits based on business needs. Specific in-office days may vary and will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation & Benefits

Byline Bank offers competitive salary bands with benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, paid time off, and more. The salary range for this position is between $52,000 to $64,000. Compensation may include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs depending on role, skill set, experience, and location.
